A first century dwelling in Nazareth. It is quite likely Jesus lived in a abode such as this.

Joel Scott Osteen (born March 5, 1963) is an American pastor, televangelist and author based in Houston, Texas. Known for his weekly televised services and several best-selling books, Osteen is one of the more prominent figures associated with prosperity theology.
The current mansion of Osteen and his previous residence below.

Osteen lives with his family in a 17,000 square-foot mansion in River Oaks, with an estimated value of $10.5 million. Osteen says that as senior pastor, he draws no salary from the church, which has an annual budget of $70 million, and that he instead relies on income from book sales.
Prosperity theology (sometimes referred to as the prosperity gospel, the health and wealth gospel, the gospel of success, or seed faith) is a religious belief among some Protestant Christians that financial blessing and physical well-being are always the will of God for them, and that faith, positive speech, and donations to religious causes will increase one’s material wealth. Material and especially financial success is seen as a sign of divine favor.
Prosperity theology has been criticized by leaders from various Christian denominations, including within some Pentecostal and charismatic movements, who maintain that it is irresponsible, promotes idolatry, and is contrary to the Bible. Secular as well as some Christian observers have also criticized prosperity theology as exploitative of the poor. The practices of some preachers have attracted scandal and some have been charged with financial fraud.
Prosperity theology views the Bible as a contract between God and humans: if humans have faith in God, he will deliver security and prosperity. The doctrine emphasizes the importance of personal empowerment, proposing that it is God’s will for his people to be blessed. The atonement (reconciliation with God) is interpreted to include the alleviation of sickness and poverty, which are viewed as curses to be broken by faith. This is believed to be achieved through donations of money, visualization, and positive confession.
It was during the Healing Revivals of the 1950s that prosperity theology first came to prominence in the United States, although commentators have linked the origins of its theology to the New Thought movement which began in the 19th century. The prosperity teaching later figured prominently in the Word of Faith movement and 1980s televangelism. In the 1990s and 2000s, it was adopted by influential leaders in the Pentecostal movement and charismatic movement in the United States and has spread throughout the world. Prominent leaders in the development of prosperity theology include E. W. Kenyon, Oral Roberts, A. A. Allen, Robert Tilton, T. L. Osborn, Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland, Reverend Ike, and Kenneth Hagin.
The New Testament quotes Jesus as saying that “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God”.

On July 8, 2022, Canadian telecom provider Rogers Communications experienced a major service outage; it affected Rogers’ cable internet and cellular networks, including subsidiary brands Rogers Wireless, Fido, and Chatr. It also impacted internet service providers with wholesale access to the Rogers network, such as TekSavvy, as well as various other information systems nationwide that rely on the Rogers network, including Interac and some federal government services. Multiple international web monitoring companies observed the outage.
Rogers had begun to slowly restore service that evening, but CEO Tony Staffieri stated there was no estimated time for when services would become fully operational again. The next day, Rogers stated that it had restored service to the “vast majority” of its customers; however not all service has been restored across the country.
A report by Cloudflare suggested that the outage was due to internal, rather than external, causes. It identified spikes in BGP updates, as well as withdrawals of IP prefixes, noting that Rogers was not advertising its presence, causing other networks to not find the Rogers network. As of the day after the outage, the cause remained unknown. Public Safety Canada stated that it was not a cyberattack. The outage was later said to be caused by a maintenance upgrade that caused routers to malfunction.

A bizarre video from New Zealand shows the moment when a burning bus inexplicably drives across a road on its own and some suspect that the mystifying maneuver may have been the work of a ghost. The very strange incident reportedly took place last month in the community of Raumati Beach as witness Craig Meek was in the area visiting his family. Troubled by the smell of gasoline, the man ventured outside and was stunned to see that a bus parked along the side of the road had burst into flames. While watching the fiery scene, Meek spoke to the owner of the burning vehicle, who expressed concern that it could explode and cause untold damage to the neighborhood, which is when something truly weird unfolded before their eyes.
Seemingly in response to the owner’s fears, the light of the bus suddenly went out and then it started on its own. With its horn blaring, the burning vehicle then proceeded to drive drove across the road to a less precarious spot where the fire was unlikely to threaten any residences. According to Meek, the odd turn of events occurred at the “perfect time” as the flames from the vehicle had begun to burn a nearby hedge. Had the fiery bus not moved to the other side of the street, he believes, the resulting inferno would have “definitely taken out the house” next to where the blaze had begun and, quite possible, spread to even more homes.
Musing that the situation was “surreal” and “paranormal,” Meek revealed a rather odd insight which suggests that there may have actually been a supernatural explanation for the eerie event.During their conversation, the owner of the bus wistfully recalled how he and his late wife had many adventures in the vehicle over the years. Chillingly, he also indicated that the woman had actually passed away in the bus itself. This spooky detail was seemingly acknowledged by the owner when the peculiar trip across the road occurred as he wondered aloud “if it’s my wife taking it away,” since she wanted to spare their neighbor’s home from the flames.
Meek subsequently shared his video of the peculiar event on social media and some viewers offered a prosaic explanation for what could have happened. They theorize that the fire caused a short circuit in the vehicle’s starter, which led to it ‘coming to life’ and lurching across the street. However, Meek is not entirely convinced of that scenario, noting that “it’s the timing that’s bizarre,” since the bus moved just moments before the blaze would have erupted and taken out the neighboring home.
July 7 (UPI) — A woman traveling on a Florida highway captured video of the moment lightning struck her husband’s truck, damaging the vehicle and a sheriff’s deputy’s vehicle traveling next to it.
Michelle Whalen was traveling in a car behind her husband’s truck on Interstate 75 in the Tampa area and was taking video of the rainstorm when she captured the moment a bolt of lightning struck the truck being driven by her husband, Edward Whalen.
Hillsborough County Deputy Kristen Miceli was driving next to Whalen’s truck when the lightning hit.
“The car was fried. When I was going down the road, all the lights on the dashboard had turned on and my power steering went out. My car shut off and I kind of just coasted,” Miceli told WFLA-TV.
Miceli and the Whalen family were not injured, but their vehicles were severely damaged.
“It was pretty wild. After everything was done, my son said we needed to check ourselves in a couple days for super powers,” Brian Whalen said.
A goat in Pakistan has become something of a sensation thanks to its enormous ears, which measure a whopping 21 inches in length. The jaw-dropping creature, dubbed Simba, was reportedly born in Karachi last month and, as word of the wondrous animal began to spread, the creature quickly became an unexpected celebrity in its home country and spawned headlines around the world. “Within 10 to 12 days of his birth, he was already appearing in all the national and international media,” marveled Simba’s owner Mohammad Hasan Narejo, “within 30 days, he became so popular that even a famous personality might take 25 to 30 years to achieve this level of fame.”
Understandably proud of the unique creature, Narejo has even attempted to get Guinness World Records to award Simba with the honor of being the ‘longest-eared goat.’ Alas, such a category does not exist, though one assumes that the animal’s owner is hoping that the record keepers will see to it to create the title. Beyond the unfulfilled championship chase, Simba has also faced a few challenges brought about by its prodigious ears, most notably difficulty with walking due to the animal’s propensity to trip over its prodigious appendages. Fortunately, Narejo has managed to solve that problem by designing a special ‘ear harness’ for the goat.
Perhaps more troubling, Narejo laments, are concerns that the creature could be cursed by rival goat breeders who are jealous of Simba’s blossoming stardom. As such, the animal’s owner has turned to prayer in order to ward off such bad karma. “We recite Koranic verses and blow on him to cast away the evil eye,” Narejo revealed, “following a long tradition we inherited from our elders, we have fastened a black thread around him that is fortified with Koranic verses.” As for what the future holds for Simba, his owner hopes that the eye-catching creature can serve as a symbol for the Pakistani goat breeding industry, which he contends is the best in the world.

A Florida man tried to beat a world record by drinking 33 beers in a single night. At least that’s what Michael Monahan, 48, told St. Lucie County sheriff’s deputies as he was arrested outside Body Talk Sports Bar on South U.S. 1, the TC Palm reports. Needless to say, things didn’t go so well for him.
1. MONAHAN GOT A LITTLE ROWDY WHILE DRINKING.According to reports, he used foul language and tried to fight when police arrived. They’d been called out just before midnight to the adult entertainment establishment after receiving reports about a man passed out in the parking lot. A woman was there rubbing Monahan’s back – she was later identified as his fiancee.
2. HE DECIDED TO TRY AND FIGHT THE POLICE.While Monahan’s fiancee warned him to “be calm please and don’t fight them,” he didn’t take her advice. Instead, he stood up and stepped up to the officers, saying: “Oh you want to [expletive] fight? Let’s go then.”
3. OFFICERS TRIED TO TELL MONAHAN THAT THEY JUST WANTED TO HELP.However, he wasn’t calmed by this. He instead put his fists up and said: “Let’s go [expletive].”
4. MONAHAN WAS CUFFED AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY.However, they first took him to a hospital where he revealed just how much he’d been drinking. Had he really downed 33 beers, that would be three gallons of beer. He was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence.
Well almost now.
The “Goonies.”
