050811-N-0226M-117 Pacific Ocean (Aug. 11, 2005) – An F/A-18D Hornet, assigned to the Ã’Fighting OmarsÓ of Fighter Composite Squadron Twelve (VFC-12), prepares to make an arrested landing on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). VFC-12 is the Naval ReserveÕs premier adversary squadron providing threat tactics training to all Navy fighter and strike fighter squadrons. That’s insane!!! I lived over in Hawaii, Oahu and Molokai, and I’ve been there to see that! Not at all like the beach in Malibu where I grew up, the ocean erupts, like you see here, and plucks folks right from the shore. At least this spot didn’t seem to suck them out to sea, like other spots. Dawn
