A man is dead after being shot at a townhouse in south Winnipeg.
Officers were called to the home off Tim Sale Drive, in the South Pointe neighbourhood, around 11:45 p.m. Monday.
When they arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the man did not live at the house, but it wasn’t a break-in, Const. Rob Carver said.
The man’s death is the city’s 40th homicide of the year.

Fast backward to the Correspondents Dinner in 2011. Trump was at this dinner, he hasn’t gone as president, scared to get roasted by comedians, chickenshit. Obama took a swipe at Trump during his routine. Watch as Trump is just seething at his table. Trump has hated Obama ever since, even though it was all in good fun. But Trumpster is one of the most spiteful, mean, unpleasant grudge holders that I have ever watched. If you make fun of him, he will never let it go, and in the evil recesses of his dark mind he actually wants to kill you.

Privacy worries
Distracted driving fatalities have surpassed those caused by impaired driving in some parts of Canada, according to data from the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF). In Ontario alone so far this year, provincial police report that distracted driving has accounted for 44 fatalities, while impaired driving has led to 34 deaths.
Brown said he met with Ontario Minister of Transportation Caroline Mulroney about a month ago to talk about vulnerable road user laws, and raised the issue with her.
The province said in a statement that it is continuing to monitor the effectiveness of Ontario’s distracted driving laws, new research and what’s happening in other jurisdictions.
“Any new or enhanced enforcement tools are reviewed as a part of this ongoing monitoring and evaluation process,” the statement reads. Toronto police would not say if the device would be a help in investigations, and instead referred questions to the province.
