I think this sort of journey might end up being a religious experience! To think that they made it , (or didn’t) around the capes with tiny wooden sailing ships in the old days is mind boggling. At least a good navigation system, a tight vessel, and radar take most of the worry away. Probably not a good idea to eat at least two days before attempting eh? Give me good old terra firma any day!

Those early explorers really had balls. Also the Vikings in the north Atlantic in their small longships battling those rough seas.
